This cosy, well-equipped self-catering home is situated in the Overberg area in Franskraal - 3km from Kleinbaai (world-renowned for its shark-cage diving and whale watching tours). Gansbaai is the local town. Hermanus (45 min) away. Along this coastline with beautiful sea and mountain views, fynbos and walking trails, you will truly be able to unwind and relax.Take a 200M walk from this home and enjoy an early sun-rise coffee next to the ocean whilst enjoying the panoramic view over Dyer Island. At night time the sound of the waves will put
you to sleep.

THREE BEDROOMS:- furnished with a queen, a double and 2 single beds. Two bedrooms
are facing the patio, garden and partial sea-view. The 3rd bedroom has a view of the front garden. A double sleeper couch in the living area offers additional sleeping space for children. The rooms are equipped with good quality mattresses and bed-linen. 2
hairdryers available. (Please bring your own beach towels).
BATHROOM(S): One and a-half bathroom. An en-suite (shower, basin and toilet) for the main bedroom and a second separate bathroom (bath, basin and toilet) to
share.
The LIVING AREA: opens up to a tiled outside patio with a build-in barbeque (braai) with garden and partial sea-views.
KITCHEN: fully equipped with
an electric stove and oven, as well as a camping portable gas stove plus a gas cooker top ideal for back up during loadshedding, a fridge / deep -freeze combo, toaster, sandwich- press, microwave oven, kettle, coffee plunger and coffee making machine,
vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board.
The dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and lounge (open plan) with a table seating 6-8 persons.
There is a flat-screen Smart TV with a DSTV (basic
package) a DSTV decoder antenna. Please bring your smartcard should you wish.
FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE WE HAVE INSTALLED AN INVERTER- No more darkness or being without tv and wi-fi during loadshedding.
EXTRA TOUCHES:- A decorated Xmas tree in December can be arranged, magazines, books and games for guests to relax with. For memorable days on the beach we provide a beach-umbrella and 4 chairs.
PRIVATE Off-street PARKING and an ALARM SYSTEM, with 24 hours armed response as well as the Franskraal neighbourhood watch. The windows have burglar bars.
Attractions:
The apartment has easy access to everything the Overberg has to offer - the marine Big Five (whales, sharks, dolphins, seals and penguins), fynbos, wine farms, golf courses and historical towns. Shops SPAR, OK, Clicks, KFC, Medical facilities, Restaurants, night bars.

Please also note that we do not accomodate children under 10 years of age as the yard is not fenced in and there is a patio without rails.
An additional charge of R200
per child per night between ages 10-16 .
A cleaning fee of R550 will be added.
A refundable deposit of R2000 will be added to your accommodation fee for damages, breakages and missing items. The deposit will be paid back into your bank account within 7 working days after departure, if the house is clean and in good order with no missing, damaged or broken items.
Franskraal has lovely beaches, rock pools and walking trials. The main swimming beach is about 2.5 km from this house. There is a paved walking area all along the coastal road for walks, wheel-chairs and children with bicycles. Along the beach is concrete tables and benches.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oyster Box in Franskraal.
Franskraal is one of the most beautiful places as a family we have visited. There is no lovelier seascape in the Western Cape than Franskraal. There is abundance of landscape opportunities for both entry level as well as advanced photographers, as well as for those precious family memory shots.
Our stay at Oyster box self catering house was very cozy and comfortable.
Oyster box is a charming house in a quiet, safe neighbourhood. People in the neighbourhood are very friendly, always ready with a greet, chat and smile. We enjoyed the interaction with the people in Franskraal.
The house is fully equipped with all the necessities and very clean. It really felt like home, and we were so thankful for the Christmas tree and decorations that the owner put up, this was so special and much appreciated.
The owner of Oyster Box went the extra mile in ensuring our stay was comfortable. We were provided with latest updates/information on what is happening in the neighborhood as well as activities, sightseeing possibilities and general information.
As keen photographers we loved the different kind of birds we have seen, not only in the Oyster Box Garden but along our walks as well. Much to our surprise and delight, we have also encountered tortoises roaming freely in the garden.
We also enjoyed the picnic spots, and routes for walking along the seaside. Many fine views can be seen along the different routes. There are so many things to do and see, to be enjoyed by old and young.
Our children enjoyed swimming at Franskraal and nearby beaches although the water was cool. The sea water is clean and small beach at Franskraal not overcrowded. In addition, the children enjoyed exploring the rocky boulders breaking the coastline that provided multiple inlets for exploration.
It was unforgettable experience and we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will without hesitation return to Oyster Box Franskraal to experience and explore more of nature and seascapes.
