Mayfair Farm Cottages are situated on the West bank of the Grobbelaars river just outside the town of Oudtshoorn on the farm Mayfair. Oudtshoorn is the largest town in the Klein Karoo and en route the world renowned R62. This location provides you the best of both worlds, close to all attractions & amenities, but yet quiet and tranquil surrounds will make you feel that you are miles away from stress and traffic. The 1km ground road leading to Mayfair is a Cul de Sac, so no drive through traffic will disturb you from enjoying the sounds of nature. We are situated across the river from the Cango Wildlife Ranch, so you can experience the sound of lions roaring in Africa.
We have 3 alone standing cottages with spacious parking within a secure area which is controlled with a remote gate. The cottages are 300m away from the main farmhouse which allows you to enjoy your privacy.
The cottages are newly renovated with open plan living design for making great memories together with friends or family. Both kitchens are fully equipped to cater for short or lengthy stays. All the bedrooms have air-conditioning (cool & heated) to make your stay comfortable. Cottage 1 is not available for rental, but we would love to have you visit in Cottage 2 or 3 to experience our special spot.

Cottage 2 is a 1 bedroom unit with en-suite bathroom offering a double basin and shower only. The room has a queen size bed and a sofa couch in the living room providing extra sleeping space. The room has an air-conditioner to cool or heat for your comfort. Hangers are provided in a spacious cupboard if needed for a lengthy stay.
The kitchen is well equipped with a gas stove and electrical oven, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, dish washer, kettle, toaster and all necessary crockery & cutlery. The open plan kitchen & living room has a double door opening up onto a patio with outside furniture to enjoy the lovely outdoors. There is also an outside fireplace for you to have a real South African braai experience.
This unit is suited for a single person on a business trip, a couple who are traveling alone or with children, or 3 adults.

Cottage 3 is a 2 bedroom unit each with en suite bathrooms offering a double basin and shower only. Both rooms have comfortable queen size beds and cupboards with hangers to unpack if you come for a lengthy stay. The rooms both have air conditioners to cool or heat for your comfort. There is a double bed in the spacious living area that provides extra sleeping space.
The kitchen is well equipped with a gas stove and electrical oven, fridge-freezer, microwave oven, dish washer, kettle, toaster and all necessary crockery & cutlery. The spacious open plan kitchen & living room has a double door opening up onto a patio with outside furniture to enjoy the lovely outdoors. There is also an outside fireplace for you to have a real South African braai experience.
This unit is suited for 3 couples or 2 couples with children.

Oudtshoorn is a popular tourist destination best known for the Cango Caves as well as the Ostrich Industry and often referred to as the Ostrich Capital of the World. It is situated between the stunning Outeniqua and Swartberg mountains and offers a wide array of experiences from arts & culture, wildlife, nature, culinary, sport, and relaxed outdoors to extreme outdoors. The closest airport in George is 65km from Oudtshoorn. There are many great local restaurants in town to choose from.
