Welcome to Gum Tree Glen! Surrounded by trees, fields and farmlands, this establishment is close to all the top wedding venues in the area.

Gum Tree Glen comprises two self catering units. The very quaint Wrinkly Tin Cottage can accommodate up to 5 guests comfortably, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (showers only, no baths). The main bedroom features a queen bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a sleeper couch in the lounge. There is a fully equipped kitchen and amazing views of the Karkloof Valley below. There is only a hospitality-TV package, and no wi-fi.

The Studio can accommodate 2 guests (queen size bed and a pull-out sleeper couch for a third or two littlies). The kitchenette area includes a stove, microwave and a fridge. The bathroom has a shower only, no bath.

The area is ideal for cyclists, being close to the famed Sappi Trails and Karkloof trails, as well as a stone's throw from the new Mandela Capture Site trails, and we are a short drive from Midmar Dam.

Unfortunately with the hard lockdown we were unable to try restaurants and pubs. So I would like to reserve my comments for a later stage.

Howick is very limited in what it offers... best to drive out to spots in the surrounding Midlands areas...
