The Breede River is recognised as one of the best fishing estuaries in South Africa. Tidal action reaches 60km upstream supporting a rich diversity of fish and birdlife.

De Hoop Nature Reserve is open from sunrise to sunset. The Reserve forms part of the world’s smallest and most threatened plant kingdom – the Cape Floral Kingdom.
