Chalets:
Our self-catered Chalets are ideal for that weekend break-away. Each of the five, two bedroom units can house a maximum of five persons. The Chalets are fully equipped with two bathrooms, a small kitchen and an outdoor dining area.
Further we do supply freestanding braaiers for those who prefer outdoor cooking! Wood bundles are available, and can be purchased from the Lodge.
For guests that are interested, reservations can be made at our kitchen with the option of dining at the lodge or the chalet itself.
Guesthouse:
The Shelanti Guesthouse is a comfortable farmstead that has been converted into a fully catered guesthouse where we offer dinner, bed and breakfast. The house contains six bedrooms, each with its own coffee/tea facilities, together with a comfortable lounge area where guests can relax between the day’s activities.
The six bedrooms area as follows:
BIG 5: A king-size bed and en suite bathroom
BUTTERFLY: 2 single beds with en suite bathroom
WARRIORS and FEATHERS: With 2 single beds and double bed respectively sharing a bathroom
HUNTERS REST: Four single beds and en suite bathroom
PAWS: 1 king-size bed and en suite bathroom
Tom Miranda's Hunting Camp:
For our guests that prefer more private accommodation, come and enjoy the bushveld and wildlife at Tom Miranda's Hunting Camp; a luxurious self-catering farmhouse complete with its own kitchen, dining room and private lapa. The house can accommodate up to twelve people and is a very popular booking for family vacations and perfect for a group of friends interested in visiting the African bush.
The house is situated approximately 5km from the main lodge, on the open farm, Big Five, area. An electric fence surrounds the camp which allows for relaxed living, but does not hinder the view of the nearby waterhole where the local wildlife comes to drink.
Luxury Tent:
Sophisticated ‘camping’ at its best!!! Located within the heart of Shelanti Game Reserve, a stay at our luxury tented camp offers an intimate safari experience that will be etched in your memories forever.
The tented camp consists of just 15 secluded, luxury tents. Each luxurious tent features its own en-suite bathroom and a deck overlooking the African bush, connected by pathways with the main Camp.
These elegant and spacious tents, with permanent bases, are meant for relaxation, and sleep two (2) people in comfortable king sized beds. We also offer three (3) family tents with two (2) king sized beds and a sleeper couch in the lounge. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom equipped with a bath, shower, basin and toilet.
Area Information:The 20 000ha Reserve lies between the rural villages of Marken and Baltimore in the Limpopo Province and is not much further than a three hour drive from Johannesburg and less than two hours from Polokwane. Proud to be part of the malaria-free Waterberg Biosphere Reserve, Shelanti is privately owned and managed by a team of enthusiastic and dedicated people whose first qualification is their true love of the bush.
Property Facilities:The lodge offers the option of both self-catered and fully-catered (dinner, bed and breakfast) accommodation where a weary traveller can put their feet up and relax, watch the clouds pass or read a book quietly. From the Lodge a number of activities can be arranged for those who are more adventurous. Shelanti is a true ecological paradise for those who can appreciate and respect the African bush at its very best.
