Welcome to Little farms,
A tranquil, farm-style guesthouse situated on the outskirts of Colesberg, halfway between Johannesburg and Cape Town, gives you the feeling of a mini-Karoo getaway. There are four beautiful rooms next to each other looking over grass area for kids to play and run around after a long journey. Neat place. Warm welcome.
The host, Rufus was really good. He called earlier in the day to find out what time we would be booking in and wished us a safe journey, also sent us a location pin which was super helpful. The room was lovely, well furnished and comfortable. Attention to detail in terms of information about nearby amenities was really good. The accommodation has everything you need for a stop over on a long journey. We were disappointed that it didn't have more of a farm like vibe like cows or chickens etc as shown in the online pictures. We were concerned around safety, just off the main road with some dodgy looking characters lurking around the road, does not have a secure wall/gate and is right next to a cemetery which is a bit creepy.
We were disappointed to find that being the last to arrive out of 4 units there wasn't really anywhere for our family to sit outside nearby our unit
Simple, clean and neat. We were late to book in, yet no problem with host!

Easy access from the highway
Beautiful surroundings
Well positioned between Gauteng and the Cape Coast
The beautiful accommodation and their cleanliness.
Colesberg the town has really gone down, rubbish everywhere, dirty and dusty. However as we stayed in the wonderful lodge outside of the town, we will overnight again in the area, as it is in the middle of Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Friendly people and just the right distance from Gauteng to take a break.
Spectacular view of animals and the mountains.
The roads are in great condition, we did not go into the town.
