Our units are designed to give you a different scenery and you will experience the 'farm life'. Our units are located on our 5000 square meter small holdings on the opposite side of the primary residence, which offers you the privacy you require.
You will be able to enjoy nature's tranquility within 30 minutes from most major suburbs. Less travel time, means more time to enjoy your Holiday!

Our Wood Cabins offers self catering accommodation in Penhill Estate in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. Penhill is nestled on the border of Stellenbosch and consist of 180 smallholdings. We are 18km away from Somerset-West and 17km from Stellenbosch.
Penhill offers a change of scenery and environment. You will experience the 'farm life' - A breakaway from the city life to unwind from the 9 to 5 work life. The Cabins are on our 500 square meter small holdings on the opposite side of the primary residence, which offers you the privacy you require.
Property Facilities:Come and enjoy the beautifil views and sounds of nature. Our Kol-Kol Wood-Fired Hot Tubs makes the sunsets much more mesmerizing whilst you enjoy your sundowners. Our showers are situated on the deck, but our outside blinds can close to give you your privacy. Parking in available on the premises.

What a lovely getaway. My Husband and I celebrated our one year Anniversary and it was everything and more, the cabin is so beautiful and has everything you need in it, the hot tube shower was great and private. We will definitely go back again. Thank you to the host Valentino and the staff they are so friendly and helpful.
I had an amazing time staying there. you really do get the private wood stay feel there and it's rustiness though you only get to take food and clothes to there. I would like to see more Cabins available as you want friends to go with you, even a cabin with 6-8 sleeper without children will be cool... I will visit there again.

I had occasion to travel for business last week and wanted a quiet place close to Stellenbosch, Somerset West and Strand. Found La Pension Stella and what a gem of a little spot this is.
Booking was easy, the gracious hostess met me with a massive smile and her doggies are so cute!
The studio apartment is lovely - has everything one needs and is situated in a quiet suburb close to everywhere I needed to be and in a gorgeous lush garden where I could relax after a day of hectic meetings.
Highly recommended - I will be back!
