Ukutula is a piece of absolute paradise. It is a real hidden gem. You drive 8 km's out of Dullstroom and into a beautiful unspoiled area of pine trees and lakes. It is really breathtaking and even more tranquil as it is so quiet with few people around. The views are just exquisite! We enjoyed fishing, and fishing from the pedelo and the boys rode their MX bikes all over the surrounding terrain. I read a few books and we relaxed. It is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday with family and friends. My aim was to do as little as possible. Dullstroom is a quick drive away if you want to go shopping and to restaurants. New Year's eve in Dullstroom was very festive. The homes are rustic but perfect with everything that you need. They run on gas and it was a pleasure to have zero load-shedding! Raymond (the owner) is so friendly and warm. He greets you and makes sure that you are happy and good. He checks in on you all the time and he is the hostess with the mostess. We will definitely go back. Ukutula has just opened and we cannot wait to see what else Raymond does with the place!
