Slip a Way Lodge is a stylish seafront self-catering lodge, superbly positioned overlooking the Kleinbaai Harbour. Kleinbaai lies at the Danger Point Peninsula proper and is possibly the main reason for Gansbaai’s popular nature-based tourism. It is from the natural harbour of Kleinbaai that shark-diving boats leave with cages that allow visitors to get ‘up close and personal with Great Whites (Carcharodon Carcharias) that frequent these waters in such vast numbers.

Kleinbaai has a wonderful tidal pool perfect for children, and a golf course with a sea view, which means that many families prefer the little village. There is a gravel road connecting Kleinbaai along the rugged coast with a number of other little rock pools ending at the lighthouse at Danger Point. This track makes a wonderful hike and, because it is unsuitable even for rugged 4X4s, is generally peaceful.

There are two balconies, one by the pool table and one by the bar area, offering breathtaking views. Perfect to while away the time on a hot day or enjoy the sunrise with a nice cup of coffee each morning.

The lounge area is a beautiful open plan area complete with 2 lounge suites and a pool table. The one lounge suite seats 8 people and is situated by a large fireplace perfect for relaxing on a chilly winter's evening while the second lounge suite seats 6 people and offers uninterrupted views of the ocean.

The kitchen offers all the usual amenities with a gas hob and electric oven, convection microwave, coffee percolator, dishwasher and a washing machine. The open plan design allows for 6 people to sit comfortably at the counter.

The bar area offers sea views while offering seating for 6 people on the wicker lounge suite and seating for 6 at the bar itself. A price list can be offered on booking for the bar to be stocked prior to check-in.

The braai area comes with the grid and accessories required. Fire lighters and braai wood are not included but can be supplied on request.

Our 3 beautiful Oregon pine dining tables combine to create an 18-seater table that can be split to meet any requirements.

A cosy 6-seater area that hosts an android box that has Amazon Prime, Netflix, DSTV and Showmax already installed and ready for your log-in details should you require any TV viewing.

The Wi-Fi for the property is centralized in this area and the password will be provided at check-in.

This area, nestled between the rooms, shares a balcony with room 3 and offers a limited library, maps of the surrounds with local attractions and a exercise spin bike for those that want to sweat away their holiday over indulging.
