Ontevreden Farm offers a family friendly guest cottage located on the host’s property, situated on a private farm overlooking the surrounding vineyards of Montagu, in the Western Cape. Ideal for a family or group of 6 adults and 2 kids, looking for a tranquil break away from busy city life.
This fully furnished cottage comprises 3 en suite bedrooms. Each bedroom contains a double bed; one room has a bunk bed. Each room has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, a basin, and a toilet. The unit contains a kitchen with a fridge, a microwave, an oven, including a dishwasher for convenience. There is a living area with a flat-screen TV with DStv channels, and a patio/terrace with outdoor furniture and a wood-fired hot tub.
The flat is connected to a stand-by generator, in case there are power outages. The property has free secure parking for vehicles. Guests have access to the host's swimming pool as well.

If we could move there we would! Really love the place. One of the most beautiful places and scenery ever. I cannot fault them, from beds, bathrooms, living, kitchen areas, all so clean and comfortable and views all around to the outside porch with views of the farm and mountains, so spectacular and the hot tub was amazing! You have an awesome view from whichever bed you sleep in. There is also a pool for those hot days, braai, wifi and generator for loadshedding. Your host, Tiaan, was our guardian angel. He and his wife have big hearts, very kind and caring people. We broke down on our way and he kept tabs on us the whole way and when he couldn’t get hold of us because of signal, they came out looking for us and escorted us to the farm. Even with his busy schedule running the farm, nothing was too much for him, he supported us and helped in every way he could throughout our whole ordeal which really helped when you are in a situation like that, stranded so far from home. In the end he also towed us back to Worcester where we left our bakkie and caught a bus back to Gauteng. Our circumstances made that we stayed an extra night which then at least we got to then enjoy the farm a little longer. I don’t know many hosts who would go above and beyond as what Tiaan and his family did for us and I can only say a very big thank you from the bottom of our hearts. @ Mark Robinson... you have a real gem of a manager.

The tranquility, historical few places, cleanliness and friendly inhabitants.
Came up to Montagu for a climbing course with Blue Mountain Adventures and stayed at the Tolhuis with two friends. It was just perfect. Firstly the location, it was only mere meters away from our first day's location for climbing , LEGOLAND. We could literally stop and walk up to our accommodation for a coffee and lunch break! The place itself was just perfect for the 3 of us. Great little braai area where we enjoyed our evenings and the place is simple and humble yet stylish! The hosts, Michelle, Ivan, and Jason their 6-month-old puppy were just very warm and accommodating. Thank you!
