Greyton Toad Hall was built in 1855 and still retains many of the charms of houses from this era, with its thatched roof, gables and generous stoep. Greyton Toad Hall is your private away from home destination for groups , weddings, retreats or small functions and conveniently located right in the heart of the village.

With the largest pool in Greyton- 10m by 5m sunny saltwater pool replete with its own hand painted toad, an 8 seater wood fired hot tub, fireplace and firepit and a fully enclosed 2000 square metre garden with great views of the mountains and full cooking facilities, this is a truly magical place to rent and an entertainers paradise.

Sleeping up to 18 in 7 ensuite rooms with the 8th being a family/dorm room sleeping 4 on single beds with its shower/bathroom located 2m away. By arrangement/additional cost, we can sleep up to 22 people with the addition of the 1 deluxe ensuite honeymoon king room and 1 deluxe king/twin ensuite in the historic house.

Around the pool area is a gas, wood braai,Weber and a wood-fired pizza oven. If you are into smoking your food, the wood braai has a smoker attachment. The pool area has loungers, pool towels, floating pool loungers not to mention the flamingo.

A large kitchen/ dining room with crockery, glassware, cutlery, pots/pans/platters/bowls and the like for 22 people, large airfryer, desktop oven/hotplate, fridge/freezer and indoor long table seating 12 is located in the back cottage, with plenty more tables and chairs in the garden.

Our stoep is famous for watching the activities of the town – being right in the centre of town you couldn’t pick a better place to have a gin and tonic and watch the horses (sometimes the cows) amble by and people watch.

The lounge room has a wood fireplace, games and books, guitar, croquet and bowls and plenty of comfy sofas.

All bedrooms have their own private entrance off the garden and have tea/ coffee making facilities, 2 are also self catering and some rooms have bar fridges as well.

Invertors and solar panels means guests are not affected by load shedding.

All restaurants and bars are within a 5 minute stroll – feel free to do takeaway and enjoy it in the garden or on the stoep. We also provide details of local caterers, local activities and the like- make the most of your break and have massages in the garden or under the gazebo.

From time to time we also rent out individual rooms.

In winter, we provide electric blankets and throws, and in summer, all rooms have fans. Solar panels and inverters ensure our guests never suffer from load shedding. Cotton linen and bath and pool towels are provided, featuring luxurious South African T-shirt Bed Company linen or 100% cotton linen. Guests can also enjoy our signature Greyton Toad Hall shower gel and body cream by a local Greyton producer, as well as exclusive Greyton Toad Hall chocolates from the world-famous Greyton chocolatier Von Gesau.

We can organise for you many cool things depending on the season- on your own liability- massages in the garden or your room, bike rental (mountain bike and city bikes), cocktail mixologists at our pool, guided hikes to the secret waterfall or the three layer waterfall near the dam, catering in the garden, dam or river swimming, horse and trap ride, Genandel guided history tour, Community vegetable garden projects in Genandel, private garden tours..among others! Just let us know how to make your experience perfect.
