Designed with midday siestas in mind, all chalets open onto private sun decks with spectacular mountain views for quiet contemplation, nature gazing, or sun bathing under cobalt-blue skies amid birdsong surround sound and the sense of at oneness with nature.
Situated on the Rietbokspruit game farm on the outskirts of Mookgophong (Naboomspruit) in Limpopo, Mmakuba Lodge offers sweeping views of the Waterberg range, including Hangklip, one of South Africa’s few remaining areas of afro-montane forest.
Mmakuba’s afro-chic restaurant, pool, and bush bar area all serve to create a romantic idyll and space for relaxation.
Ideal for strategic corporate breakaway sessions and teambuilding involving wildlife activities or nature conservation, owner-run Mmakuba Lodge can accommodate 40 people sharing. Think ‘potjies’ around a crackling fire or braais in the boma under the stars for easy cameraderie. Delicious traditional African meals are also served in the restaurant. Full board is only Breakfast and Dinner Meals. We do offer lunch which you can book at the restaurant.
