We camped and the campsites were well spaced out, each with a lovely shady tree. The ablutions were great and there was a good indoor washing up area.
The restaurant and pub are not to be missed!

We love this place. As always, the staff were super friendly and efficient; the rooms really really spotless and comfortable; dinner and breakfast delicious. The overall character, ambiance, service and comfort of Canyon Roadhouse is up there with the best. You can’t go wrong staying there.

The accommodation is spacious, very clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfasts delicious. We also enjoyed the evening meals we had there. The best part though is the staff, they are all so courteous and caring and go the extra mile to make your stay a very pleasant one. Good value for money... get a Gondwana card.. well worth it

Our check-in was somewhat problematical as we had booked Canon Roadhouse and paid in full upfront, but reception had no record of our booking. However we were quickly allocated a campsite. The next day the manager (Simon) was most efficient, helpful and reassuring and undertook to sort out problem directly with agents. After a bad border crossing experience - the manager, Simon reinstalled my faith in people and in Namibia and ensured we would be returning. The campsite had recently been refurbished and this was a return visit. It really is one of the top camping sites in my opinion, with wonderful staff and facilities. Definitely would recommend same.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the roadhouse. The campsite is absolutely lovely, the ablutions clean and tasteful and the food in the restaurant was also good. The drinks are pretty expensive though!

My husband and I enjoyed a two-night stay at Canon Roadhouse on the 8th and 9th of March 2010.

On arrival we were a little apprehensive about our choice of accommodation, but once we settled in,

the friendly staff, ice cold drinks, good food and lovely swimming pool made us change our minds

very quickly. It was also great exploring the Fish River Canyon, knowing we could retreat after a long day

of sightseeing to "a little oases". Most enjoyable experience!

Suggestions you might want to consider are: shaded parking for vehicles and bar fridges in the rooms.

We shall definitely recommend Canon Roadhouse to other tourists.

We booked a camping site at Canon Roadhouse. What a surprise. Beautiful, neat and clean ablution. Campsites also in very good condition. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend it.
