The Boland Sanctuary is a private guest suite set in a thatched-roof residential home in the secure Onverwacht Wine Estate. The Onverwacht Wine Estate, which has controlled access, is located 1 km outside Wellington in the heart of the Cape Winelands, and just 45 minutes from Cape Town.
Access to the guest suite is from the main home downstairs lounge area, via a flight of stairs. The owner lives in a separate downstairs wing, off the kitchen, so the guest suite is private.
Guests have use of the downstairs lounge area, and upstairs on the landing area, there is a double sleeper couch, TV, a microwave, a bar fridge and a tea and coffee station for guests’ use.
The guest suite can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children and contains two bedrooms and one bathroom. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. The bathroom contains a shower, a toilet and a washbasin.
Guests may make use of the main house kitchen on request. The front yard and 2 patios to relax on or braai are available. We offer safe parking. We have a solar inverter plus batteries installed so loadshedding should not affect your visit.

The Onverwacht Wine Estate is a small wine estate situated 1 km outside of Wellington in the Boland. Wellington is a historical town steeped in tradition situated in the Western Cape province. Lovers of the outdoors and certainly wine will enjoy visiting Wellington where so much is offered to its visitors. Nestled at the foot of the Hawequas Mountains, Wellington is etched in beauty and only a 45-minute drive from Cape Town making it easily accessible to tourists.
