Stay in one of two self-catering houses at this country getaway in magnificent surroundings and enjoy the fresh air, the views and the restful farm setting.

The Homestead offers four bedrooms; the main bedroom has a king-size bed, the second bedroom has a double bed interleading with another room offering a single bed, and the fourth bedroom has a single and a three-quarter bed. The main bedroom has an en-suite shower room and the second bathroom offers a bath and shower. There is a large kitchen with an eye-level oven, fridge, dishwasher and cooking utensils. There is a separate dining room and a lounge with a fireplace. The patio offers views of the mountains and dam and has a built-in braai.

The Cottage is comfortably furnished and offers two bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and the second with two single beds. The bathroom is shared and consists of a shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, microwave and an oven. Guests can relax in the comfortable lounge which is also equipped with a cosy fireplace. A portable braai is situated on the stoep.

Sewefontein Farm is on top of the beautiful Piekenierskloof mountains, about 180km from Cape Town. Being situated on a farm, guests can go on long walks through unspoilt fynbos or orchards, do some bird-watching, go for a swim or fish in the farm dam, or visit the rock paintings on the farm. A short 4×4 route is also available. Veld flowers can be viewed in September, as well as the drying of fruit in December, January and February.
