Millstream Farm, located in the Eastern Highlands of Mpumalanga is only 3 hours form Johannesburg. Offering beautifully appointed, fully equipped 10 sleeper cottages and an extensive range of on-site guest facilities. Millstream is the ideal destination for a weekend getaway or the perfect place to spend time with the whole family during school holidays.
Each self-catering cottage is comprised of 5 bed rooms and 4 bath rooms. The two queen bedded rooms (one upstairs and one downstairs) have bathrooms en-suite. The downstairs single bedded room has a bathroom adjacent to it consisting of a shower, toilet and basin. The other two single bedded rooms are located upstairs and share a bathroom consisting of a shower, toilet and basin. Linen, towels and guest soaps are provided. The cottages can accommodate a maximum of 10 people including children of all ages.
The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, fridge\freezer, dishwasher, microwave, tumble drier, crockery, cutlery and glassware.
Each cottage has an inviting log fireplace in the lounge area, a Weber braai and an outside barbeque located on the patio which is furnished with patio chairs and table and an outdoor umbrella.
The cottages are serviced daily and offer free uncapped Wi-Fi (excluding streaming services), a safe for valuables, and partially covered parking (adjacent to the cottages). Firewood, charcoal, firelighters and matches are available at reception (during office hours) and at the main gate (after hours). The shop located in the reception sells unique Millstream souvenirs and apparel, as well as ice. Please note that mobile phone reception varies from cottage to cottage. Regrettably, pets cannot be accommodated. Service animals are allowed by prior arrangement. Motorcycles are not permitted.
Millstream is the perfect venue for avid fly fishers, offering 6 dams, 3 ponds and 9 weirs. Whether you’re an experienced angler or just starting out, the array of fishing options will leave you spoiled for choice. Including two trophy dams- for those fly fishers after “the big one”.
Millstream offers the expertise of seasoned guides who with years of experience on the property possess an intimate knowledge of the waters and are able to offer you tips and techniques to help enhance your fishing experience.
Millstream is not just a fly-fishing retreat, but a sanctuary for nature lovers. With over 250 bird species it is a haven for bird-watching enthusiasts. Millstream is also home to indigenous wildlife, including Zebra, Blesbok, Springbuck and several other smaller highveld mammals. There are +- 8Kms of hiking\cycling trails on the property.
The on-site facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, tennis court, table tennis, horse riding, mountain bike and hiking trails. The beautifully equipped children’s playroom is very popular with our younger visitors.
