We have two luxury serviced self catering chalets each with two bedrooms; king-size or twin (sleeps 4 per chalet). Bath towels, cotton percale linen and hairdryer are provided. Each chalet has a stylish bathroom with shower and bath facilities and an open plan well equipped modern kitchen with oven, microwave and refrigerator. The lounge with full satellite television and cozy fireplace has breathtaking views of the lush green surrounding hills and nearby Outeniqua Mountains and leads through stack-away doors to the patio with built-in barbeque overlooking two watering holes. Each chalet has its own safe.
A king or twin bedroom is also available as a cheaper option. This cozy room has an en suite bathroom with shower and bath. Cotton percale linen, towels and hairdryer are provided. The room has a private garden entrance with secure parking. Tea and coffee making facilities with bar fridge are available.

Area Information:
Wilderness lies 15 km east of George, between the Kaaimans River in the West and the Goukamma Nature Reserve in the east, bordered by the Outeniqua Mountains in the north and the Indian Ocean in the south.
Wilderness not only overlooks the sea, but also the placid lagoon (Touw River Estuary), the Serpentine, which meanders between the Touw River, Island Lake and Rondevlei.
Property Facilities:
Our private walking trail winds through the indigenous forest and along the Silver River, affording you the opportunity to encounter birds like the brilliantly coloured Knysna Loerie, or one of the five kingfisher species, the red billed wood hoopoe, Knysna woodpecker, paradise flycatcher or lesser double-collared sunbird. You may also take a refreshing swim in the river's natural pools.
Facilities on site include a swimming pool, tennis court and private walking trail through the forest that meander along the banks of the Silver River.

This is a favourite venue for waterskiing and attracts enthusiasts from far and wide. Recreational activities in Wilderness include hiking, mountain-biking, bird- and whale-watching, hang- and paragliding, horseriding, scenic drives, day tours, angling, boating and other water sports.
An excellent viewpoint is Map of Africa with breathtaking scenery of forests, lakes, mountains and coastline. Visit the Woodville Big Tree, which is over 800 years old - a great picnic spot.
