The Tarangire National Park, situated in the northern part of Tanzania, is probably best known for its large number of elephant herds. With over 300 elephant herds, this wilderness paradise attracts scores of people to its outposts eager to witness the finest nature Tanzania has to offer. The Tarangire River runs through the national park and is home to a staggering 550 bird species - the largest breeding habitat of birds anywhere on earth.
