Dream Lodge Magaliesburg is meant for any couple who would like to spend some quality time together. It is an opportunity to discover yourself and your partner at a deeper level, with the service and privacy directed towards that goal. The ideal place to bring down those city stress levels.
The Dream Lodge consists of two cottages named Gecko and Agama.
Gecko is surrounded by acacia bush and has a truly magical atmosphere. It can be reached by all vehicles. Agama is on a hilltop with a magnificent view of the Magalies Mountains, but can only be reached by 4x4 or high clearance vehicle. We do deliver guests there if they prefer.
Neither cottage has electricity. Gecko has a gas geyser and fireplace and Agama has solar heated water and a wood-burning fireplace. There is a swimming pool at the main house which guests are invited to use.
The cottages are situated 500m and 1.6km from the main house respectively, so privacy is guaranteed.

Sam made our stay amazing! If you’re in need of a get away to regroup and refresh- this is definitely the place for it!
Was the best weekend in my life. The accommodation was out of this world end the food was 5 star. When ever you need a weekend away to recoup I will definitely tell you to book here.
Excellent time at Agama Cottage. Very quiet, peaceful and romantic. Good food and great hosting by Sam. Came back feeling so refreshed after just being away from the hustle of the city.

We had a great weekend at Dream Lodge, it is the perfect spot to get away from it all Sam provided some delicious meals.
Needed total switch off from stress, city, technology and people! Just the perfect surprise. Rustic, romantic, peaceful and off the grid. Total switch off from city life. We normally enjoy luxury, this was not luxury but ticked all the boxes for recharging! Spoiled with lovely meals delivered at your door with no need to see anyone. Bliss!!
Completely wonderful, off the grid, complete free access to the property for walks. Great if you like animals, roosters and dogs. You get a lot of four legged and feathered visitors. Excellent hosts. 10/10!

Magaliesberg is great to get close to local Joburg nature, relax and rejuvenate from daily stresses of city life and work.
It's is a beautiful place and a short travelling distance from Johannesburg or Pretoria.

Going to the upside-down house
Travel by day prevents being surprised by potholes, so pack in some patience when heading this way. Magaliesburg's Little Roadhouse had friendly service and fabulous slap chips. The Route 66 Events held at Mt Grace Hotel were most enjoyable. Looking forward to our next visit.
