Constantia Cottages are located in the heart of the Cape's most famous and beautiful area, amongst the leafy vines of the oldest winelands in the Cape, in close proximity to many of the celebrated Cape restaurants. It provides easy access to the major highways and is also two minutes away from the chic Constantia Village Shopping Centre (Supermarkets, a variety of fashionable shops and restaurants). The False Bay Beaches and Southern Suburbs Golf Courses are an easy 15 minutes away and the City no more than 20 minutes by vehicle.

All of these TGCSA 3-Star Holiday Homes in Constantia have double bedrooms and full bathrooms en-suite, underfloor heated, all with bath and shower. The lounges and the bedrooms have got satellite-TV (English and German) and own access to Internet. Additional guest toilet outside. AA Highly Recommended.

Property Facilities:
The well appointed holiday homes of Constantia Cottages are surrounded by an immaculate big private garden. Our guests have access to the beautiful 40sqm solar-heated swimming pool. The entire property is illuminated by lots of lights during the night and is alarmed inside and outside the buildings with beams, sensors and CCTV. Cameras at the bells show who is in front before opening up. We are connected to a security company (armed response). Secure parking for all cars in double-garages.

Area Information:
We are situated in Constantia, which is a wonderful green suburb of Cape Town in the oldest wine region of South Africa, Constantia Valley. This suburb, close to Table Mountain, has got an excellent infrastructure with all amenities as well as a beautiful landscape with hiking trails: We are close to shopping facilities (e.g. Constantia Village), Steenberg Golf Course, the Famous Cape Wine Routes and have got excellent restaurants "around the corner". The beaches which offer lot of water sport as well as Downtown Cape Town with all its attractions, such as the Waterfront, museums and theatres, Cape Malay Quarter, Parliament, Companies Garden, the Cable Way, Markets, and and and.........you can reach in 15 minutes, and the list goes on....

"Cottage Cabernet" (Holiday Home):
Our fully under floor-heated cottage has got two bedrooms both en-suite to the same bathroom. The master bedroom is equipped with a King-Size-Bed, the second bedroom with Queen-Size-Bed. Bathroom with a big shower cabin, a designer basin, nice corner-bath and corner-toilet. Separate guest-toilet downstairs.
The granite-top kitchen is open plan to the lounge and fully equipped with high-quality appliances, such as a big fridge/freezer-combo, induction-stove and oven, extractor, microwave, sink, washing-machine, tumble-dryer and dish-washer. There is dining-area with seating for five and a corner-lounger in front of the 48" Smart-TV. Own private garden part and very spacious terrace.

"Cottage Chardonnay" (Studio):
This beautiful and cozy apartment offers furnished self-catering accommodation for two people in a Queen Size-bed and max. two children on a comfortable sofa-bed. Make yourself at home in this fully equipped Holiday Home to make your stay an enjoyable one.
The small cottage boasts one room open-plan design with bedroom, beautiful underfloor heated bathroom, nice fully fitted kitchenette, sink and lounge/dining room with Satellite-TV (40" Smart-TV). It leads to a private patio with a delightful small garden and dining area with BBQ facility, sun loungers and outdoor seating for four.

"Junior-Suite Pinotage" (Small Apartment):
Our small apartment sleeps two in a double-bed and max. 2 children on a comfortable sofa-bed. It has got its private access to the big garden and big windows allow a nice view to the garden and the terrace.

"Suite Shiraz" (Big Apartment):
Our brand new 90 sqm apartment is positioned on the first floor of the recently constructed double-storey building. It has got two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one en suite, both with very big walk-in showers, one bathroom fitted with a very nice free-standing bath tub. Both bedrooms are equipped with a double bed (king-size, two separate mattresses in extra length).
The lounge with fully fitted open-plan kitchen has got a big window and (3meter width) sliding doors and leads to an extraordinary beautiful balcony. From here our guests can enjoy an outstanding view to the garden/swimming pool and the mountain setting of the back slope of Table Mountain. Lounge and bedrooms are fitted with an AirCon-System. The brand-new kitchen is open-plan to lounge and fully equipped with modern quality appliances, such as a big fridge/freezer-combo, an induction stove, the extractor, a microwave oven, a sink, a washing machine and a dishwasher.

"Junior-Suite Merlot" (Medium-sized Apartment):
Our (brand new) 60sqm apartment is positioned on the ground floor of the recently constructed double-storey building. The fascinating 2-room-apartment has got one bedroom with en-suite bathroom (walk-in shower, bath tub). The lounge with open-plan kitchen has got a big window and a sliding door (both 3meter width) and leads to an extraordinary beautiful balcony. From here our guests can enjoy a stunning view to the garden incl. swimming pool and the mountain setting of the back slope of Table Mountain. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern quality appliances, such as a big fridge/freezer-combo, induction stove and extractor, microwave oven and sink. The bedroom is equipped with a double bed (king-size, two separate mattresses in extra length) and a beautiful wooden wardrobe. Lounge and bedroom are air-conditioned.

"Cottage Sauvignon" (Holiday Home):
The perfect home for holidaymakers. Set in leafy garden with mountain views. It offers two bedrooms and features an entrance hall leading to open-plan lounge and dining area with cozy fireplace. Modern kitchen with stainless steel oven, gas hob/stove-combo, extractor, fridge/freezer-combo, dishwasher and washing machine. Beautiful “Stub” (covered terrace) with outside kitchen, dining table and comfortable seating overlooking the salt chlorinated swimming pool and garden. Family bathroom with walk-in shower, free-standing bath and stylish basin. En-suite bathroom with walk-in shower and basin. Excellent security system with alarm, perspex burglar bars, perimeter beams and electric fencing.

"Cottage Chenin" (Apartment):
Our small Cottage sleeps two in a king-size bed (182cm width, 2 separate mattresses) plus one additional adult or two children on a comfortable sofa bed (108cm width, surcharge if used). The lounge/TV-Room is fitted with a comfortable daybed (surcharge if used as third bed) and 40" Smart-TV with Dstv EXTRA menu. Fully fitted kitchen with high quality appliances: gas hob, stove, microwave oven, big fridge, freezer, dish washer, coffee machine, cattle, sink and a dining table for four.
The chick bathroom has got beautiful round bath, walk-in shower, toilet and granite-top basin. A sliding door leads onto a private 40sqm patio/garden with 4-seater table and a luxury Weber Braai (no swimming pool!). This cozy holiday home has got its own private entrance to the premises and is totally separated from the other accommodation unit. This property has electric fencing, beams and alarm contact all around. Parking off-street between automatic gate.

"Villa Karibu" (Holiday Home):
This charming holiday home has got a living room, study, fully fitted kitchen (granite-top) with modern quality appliances open-plan to a nice dining room and two regular bedrooms each with its own bathroom (one of them en-suite) all on the ground floor of the double-storey building. A third bedroom fitted with a sleeper-couch is available upstairs for extra charge (no add. bathroom). The master bedroom (incl. safe) is equipped with a double bed (king-size, 184cm width) and its bathroom has got a walk-in shower with shower head and hand shower, heated towel rail and UV-heater. The second bedroom is equipped with 2 single beds. The second bathroom has got a shower cubicle with shower head and hand shower, and a heated towel rail. Washing-machine and tumble-dryer next to the multi-purpose room.

All 8 cottages and apartments are serviced twice a week.

Reductions and Extra Costs:
Our prices on our price list apply to certain booking times, e.g. 1 - 3 days, 4 - 14 days, 15 - 28 days or 29 - 84 days. Please enquire about daily costs for stays of longer than 84 nights.

Extra person in room (occupation more than standard):
No extra costs will be charged for maximum 2 children up to the age of 2 years in a baby cot which we can provide free of charge. For the use of the sofa-bed we charge a percentage of the total rent.

In special cases we work out an individual check-in or check-out time as far as possible for us. This, of course, depends upon the arrival or departure time of the previous guests where we have to leave a fair amount of time in order to have the units thorough cleaned.

We had a lovely stay in the Constantia Cottages. The location was perfect for us as it is close to family, and the hosts were very pleasant. As the cottages are still being prepared it was a bit chaotic with builders and some small glitches in the access, but the little cottage itself was well appointed, we had all that we needed for our stay. Thank you We would definitely book it again. In spite of the serious water shortage in Cape Town we managed well.

We always stay in Cottage Cabernet as it provides us with everything we need for our trip with regard to location, swimming pool, garden, garage and everything we need in the house with a good kitchen and open plan living downstairs and a good size bedroom upstairs. We convert the second bedroom into a mini office for times we have to work. We play golf regularly and the cottage is ideally located for several excellent golf courses. It's Not far from Constantia Village for the shops.

Having stayed previously at Constantia Cottages for us there is no need to look elsewhere. It is so conveniently situated and just a short walk in to the excellent shopping centre, Constantia Village. The property is expertly managed and professionally run by Sabine and Otto. Clean and well serviced accommodation in very attractive gardens with a nice swimming pool. Affordable accommodation for everyone.

We visited constansia cottages again and had a wonderful visit. We were there for Christmas and New Year. Otto and Sabine are excellent hosts. Pinotage was perfect for us. All was clean and tidy. The gardens were so relaxing after sightseeing and golf. Our hosts were very helpful on all local knowledge. We will be booking again.

We stayed in the Pinotage Cottage for two weeks while visiting family in Cape Town. The location was ideal - very close to the Constantia Wine Belt and vineyards with easy access to the M3 which takes you to Cape Town's city center within 20 minutes and to beaches in 15 minutes or less. As it is winter in Cape Town, we felt fortunate to have relatively good weather (around 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit) with a few showers here and there. We personally did not find the need to turn on the heated flooring while there, the bedding provided was warm enough for chilly nights.

The hosts were wonderful - they provided tips and recommendations and were available when needed. We were explained the procedures upon arrival (very late at night) and given access to free Wi-Fi. This is a self catering cottage with mini-fridge and basic silverware so you can prepare a snack or tea for breakfast - tea and coffee was provided for you to make. There are lovely restaurants close by, as well as a shopping center, Constantia Village. The cleaning service was once a week, however when we requested additional towels for the bathrooms or the beach, we were provided them at no additional cost. We also appreciated that the guesthouse promotes recycling :)

We will definitely return for future trips! Thank you!

Room Tip:
We traveled with our 9-year-old son, and Cottage Pinotage was sufficient with a pull-out bed.

We love Constantia Cottages and have stayed in Cottage Cabernet on 3 different trips, the last time for a 3 month escape from the UK winter. The cottage meets our every need and feels like home to us with a well equipped kitchen and good sized bedrooms. We love the garden and pool and our hosts are very welcoming and bend over backwards to ensure we have everything we need and help us with any issues. The location is ideal for us to get to golf courses, shopping close by at Constantia Village, all the great restaurants and wineries and good road links to go into Cape Town or further afield. We love it so much we are back again in December 2014.

We are so pleased we chose to stay here and the cottage is in the most beautiful and safest part of Cape Town. The accommodation was extremely well serviced with everything we needed and we loved the floor heating as it made the cottage so cosy at night.
The view from the master bedroom was spectacular and I loved just laying there in the mornings, reading and enjoying the scenery. The Constantia wineries are a two minute drive away and are just stunning, while the city centre was also easy to get to.
Hans and his wife were exceptional; helpful, friendly yet never intrusive. I would not hesitate in recommending this place to anyone seeking safety, beauty, comfort and all in the very nicest residential area of Cape Town by far. We will definitely be back!

Das Cottage Chardonnay war für zwei Wochen unser Heim und Relax-Station. Joschka und ich haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und insbesondere den kleinen, privaten Garten zum Frühstücken und den großen Garten rund um den sehr einladenden Swimming Pool zum Relaxen genutzt. Das Queen-Size-Bett war für uns groß genug und bequem. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Versorgung mit tollen Weinen direkt vorort. Von diesem idealen Standort im Constantia Tal haben wir sehr viele Tagestouren unternommen, u.a. Paragliding und Hai-Tauchen. Und die tollen Restaurants und Märkte. Einfach super, alles gut und zeitnah zu erreichen. Die Vermieter waren stets aufmerksam, ihre zahlreichen Tipps uns sehr hilfreich. Der Stadtort ist perfekt, mitten in der Kaphalbinsel.

Paare, die Kapstadt auf ihrer Liste der Urlaubsziele haben, sollten die Constantia Cottages unbedingt in Betracht ziehen. Tolle Unterkunft, gute Preise und super nette Vermieter.

Da wir in unserem Kapstadt-Urlaub nicht selbst kochen, sondern die zahlreichen Restaurants rund um den Tafelberg ausprobieren wollten, war für uns die mit „semi-self-catering“ bezeichnete Junior-Suite Pinotage völlig ausreichend. Geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Gästezimmer mit einem sehr schönen Badezimmer und ausreichend Bewegungsfläche vor dem sehr komfortablen Doppelbett. Der Garten ist ein Traum, üppig, gepflegt und mit einem bildschönen, solarbeheiztem Pool ausgestattet. Alles geschickt beleuchtet in der Nacht. Tolle Atmosphäre! Wir sind keine Strandlieger und wollen stets viel sehen und erleben. So war Constantia für uns der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge ans Kap, in die Kapstadt-City und in die Winelands. Nicht zuletzt haben unsere Gastgeber mit ihrer freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Art zu unserem Wohlbefinden beigetragen. Wiederkommen ist eigentlich ein MUSS!
