Elevated on the hills of Glenashley La Lucia, north of the Durban city centre lies this beautiful 4-star guest house. The fresh sea breeze and scents of the nearby ocean keep it cool in summer and give you the feeling of being on vacation. Maryland is centrally situated in a quiet up-market area very close to shopping centres, restaurants, golf courses, casinos and of course our beautiful beaches. Within walking distance is a Spar shop, chemist, doctor, hairdresser and nail technician, 5 restaurants, 7 take-aways and a laundromat. Corporate guests will find us ideally positioned and in easy reach of businesses and events.
Our 8 spacious rooms offer you refined comfort and are uniquely and individually styled. Each room has top quality extra-length beds adorned in beautiful white cotton linen with subtle touches of colour. The luxury en-suite bathrooms include both bath and separate shower. The rooms are fully air-conditioned, fitted with flat-screen TV's, hospitality trays, hairdryer and each has its own private entrance. Every room has French doors which open out onto the pool and secluded garden.
You will enjoy a sumptuous English breakfast in the dining room which opens out onto the patio overlooking the swimming pool.

Excellent as always. Very comfortable room and delicious breakfast
A delightful guest house near Umhlanga, close to all amenities and not far from the King Shaka International Airport.
It's the third time in the last 4 years that I have stayed there on business. The view of the garden and the sea in the distance was beautiful.
The rooms are very well maintained and clean. With an abundance of tea, coffee, and biscuits. The breakfasts were phenomenal. The hosts Penny and Dave were most friendly and always available. They went above and beyond to ensure that the guests weren't affected by the water outages.
I highly recommend Maryland Manor Guesthouse to anyone who wishes to experience home away from home.
