Fields of Gold Farm is a newly established olive and lavender farm situated in the Paarl/Franschhoek valley surrounded by world-famous wine and golf courses. We are conveniently situated 10 km from both of the historic towns of Paarl and Franschhoek, 1 km from the Jack Nicklaus-designed Pearl Valley Golf Course, and 2 km from Victor Verster from which Nelson Mandela began his long walk to freedom.
Simunye Cottage offers an affordable and comfortable home away from home experience. It is a large one-bedroom cottage, with a wrap-around patio overlooking a magnificent rock pool and stunning views of the Simonsberg and Groot Drakenstein mountains.
The air-conditioned bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed with crisp white percale bed linen, while the luxurious en-suite bathroom boasts spectacular views of the Mountains. The bathroom has double basin and double shower, and bath towels are provided.
Sandi Ferreira, the owner of Fields of Gold Farm, looks forward to welcoming you, whether you are looking for a short weekend stay whilst you play a little golf or go wine-tasting or are looking for a longer holiday while you explore all that Cape Town and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Fields of Gold Cottages was an incredible place to stay. Sandi is an excellent host and will go out of her way to do whatever she can to make your visit perfect. The property is a beautiful one with no shortage of great places to enjoy sun or shade outside. Truly a relaxing place to stay while enjoying the area!
Last minute reservation.. such care was taking with the booking .. the cottage was amazing with white linen crisp and clean to a full functional kitchen with everything you would need for a 4 day stay. Security was excellent as I was a mom alone with my kids for a cycle race. Friendly greetings and a amazing pool which we enjoying for most of the afternoon relaxing and doing laps. Would recommend the cottage. Loved our stay and will be coming back asap!

Paarl Reviews
Best hospitality we have experienced in a very long time.
People go out of their way to accommodate you with the simplest things.
Loved the following places with helpful and friendly staff contributing to an a-lister experience-
Nine Oaks- beautiful venue with a little shop, restaurant and bar area on site. We stayed here for 4 nights and it really is a little hidden gem.
Spice Route- as always we had an amazing experience with the most beautiful views, charcuterie and cheese boards, wines, spices and beer and cider tastings. So much to do in so little time.
Bellaire Pavillion- stunning venue. Beautiful views! Lush green! Variety of little hidden gems all rolled into one venue. If we had more time I would've explored the venue more to see what else it had to offer ♡
Picardie- 5 star experience. Read the review. Nuff said ♡♡♡♡♡
Fairview- Have been to Fairview before. Love the Goats at the entrance. Love the Goatshed restaurant- we had breakfast there- we had the best muesli and yoghurt we have ever had!!! Even if you are not a great fan of a cold breakfast- try it- it might convert your tastebuds!
I have to also give a shout out to all the little local bars we visited- we felt part of the local crowd in no time.
Black Steers Kitchen- wow- what a stunning view and once again accommodating us so last minute to share a bit of what you had to offer to end off our travels on a high note before going for one last Hooray to...
Bossa Paarl- what a way to end a perfect holiday party!
See you all soon hartsmense en hartsplekke. Tot weersiens!

The Spice Route is definitely a plus. But the town itself has some stunning spots. There are open green parks along the river which are perfect for picnics, and there are ample shops and restaurants to enjoy.
The farm scenery.
