Many of the holiday homes in Hermanus have been passed from generation to generation and a holiday in Hermanus is particularly special when you stay in one of these gracious homes that are filled with a host of memories of fun, sun, sea, sand, whales, laughter, fireside evenings, family and friends.
Pat's Place, one of the original Hermanus holiday guest houses, has belonged to the Clark family for three generations and they have been sharing their much loved home with visitors for the past 20 years. While the décor and facilities may have changed over the years with a splash of modern style and comfort, the ambience and hospitality is just as it has always been warm, relaxed, light hearted and friendly.

A beautiful place to stay, especially for the moderate price. Nice rooms and very friendly atmostphere (if you don't mind sharing the breakfast table with the other guests. We loved it). And Suzanne just makes you feel good.
Only the direct location at the main road is a little minus, but the noise is not really a problem. At night it is totally quiet. We will definitely come again!
We really loved this place as we didn't expect our stay to be so nice. Our 2 year kid loved playing indoors and outdoors and the whole space is very clean and very cozy. The breakfast is prepared with locally produced fruits and organic eggs and Suzanne is just an amazing host. Since all guests have breakfast together at the same table it is a great opportunity to get to know other interesting people who also happen to be in that gorgeous part of the cape coast. You have access to the kitchen all day and there is complimentary coffee and tea 24/7.
We only had one night here (unfortunately for us). It was just as advertised - very comfortable bed and bedding, great location (walking distance from the town), delicious breakfast. Suzanne was very flexible with us and lovely to deal with. We will come again!
We stayed in the Veranda house as there were 5 of us in total. It was lovely, spacious and very comfortable. Suzanne was a superb host and her breakfast was absolutely yumcious! Situated right next to a Spar and also in walking distance from whale watching and the shops. I can definitely recommend and will go back as soon as I can.

Suzanne really went all the way to accommodate our Wheelchair group and we will go back without thinking about it!
Only problem was that we stayed waaaayyy to short! Next time we'll stay longer!
Very accommodating & affordable!
A nice atmosphere, Room is clean&friendly. Country-Style room. Now is cold season, bed includes bed heating, very comfortable. Very nice breakfast. Next to door you have a Supermarket, the Ocean and the waterfront is also not far away. Every time again when in Hermanus. Many thanks.
Best guest house in Hermanus! From the bedding to the friendly service everything was perfect. I recommend this guest house to anyone who wants a relaxing getaway!! There's a beautiful swimming pool that's perfect for the summer.
We loved the space, the rooms, the way the place accommodated a family of 8 and yet we all had privacy. Quality linen, good kitchen for self catering. The children loved the pool, spa baths and the guys loved the braai area.
Susan is very friendly and helpful. Place was clean neat and the use of the fridge and pool (did not use it this time) made the stay that much more pleasant. Room was lovely and the breakfast was excellent. Beautifully cut fruit and lovely cooked meal.

A friendly town where everything you need is nearby.
The weather and the wine farms, as well as their Saturday market.
After leaving the Grand Lux boutique hotel we checked into the Harbour House which was accommodating and welcoming and central to everything. GLBH is out of the way for tourists unless you have a car.
Lots to see there and loved the coastal paths.
The restaurants, the calmness and of course the ocean.
Nice sea side walkway, but the center is too crowded.
Relaxing place.Beautiful sea and cliff views. Lovely shops and large variety of excellent restaurants.
Fernkloof for beautiful walks in Nature reserve. Grotto beach absolutely amazing( all facilities )Fine sand, body boarding and kite surfing when windy.
