What a surprise. Just 14 km.from the Mata Mata border into Kgalagadi the Kalahari Farmstall (sic) was much more than we expected. The rooms are well appointed and breakfast, coffee, light meals and dinner are available on request. The helpings at dinner were generous and the lasagne was almost as good as my wife's. Braai facilities are also available and some rooms have full self cattering facilities. It's a working farm ad given its relative isolation, it was beyond our expectations. The proximity to Kgalakadi is an added bonus.

We had a nice stay every thing was nice and clean, and the staff very helpful.
The only problem was we had was when we did not receive one of the dishes ( soup) and had to ask why we were left out.
Other wise we will be staying there again if we are in the area.

Our flight arrived at Windhoek airport mid afternoon and we were on our way to Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (about 530 Km away, Mata Mata entry point). We needed to spend the night at some point more or less halfway and ended up staying at the Kalahari Farmhouse at Stampriet for the first time. What an amazing surprise ! A very beautiful place, amazing decoration, excellent rooms and very professional and friendly staff. On our return from Kgalagadi we drove straight from Mata Mata to Windhoek airport, but stopped at the Kalahari Farmhouse to have lunch, very good food too.

We had a very pleasant over night stop at Kalahari farmhouse. The food was excellent and the people very friendly and helpful. Beautiful gardens in very peaceful setting. The accommodation was clean and tidy. Can definitely recommend.

Traveling from Windhoek towards Mata Mata, is the gem of Kalahari Farmhouse.
It is worth your while to turn off the main road to Marienthal to spend a day and a night in this delightful spot.
The dinner was served by a very clever and sweet girl, Daniella.
The bedrooms spacious and separate from each other.
The pool is so big, you can do quite a few laps after the long hot hours in the car.
The gardens can unfortunately not been described in words.
Go and see yourself!!
