The cabin is very solid, built on a concrete platform, the quality of the the wood is excellent. It has all you need for self catering. Gas stove, gas geyser. No need to worry about load shedding. The location is amazing, the cabins in front have a view of the dam. The ones at the back do not have a view of the dam, but you surrounded buy tall trees. It's a very peaceful and serene establishment. Had a very peaceful sleep.

We loved Fires Mountain Lodge. Both Edward and Linda are very pleasant. Edward accompanied us to our cabin, and explained all the little tricks of the gas heater and gas stove. We stayed in Cabin 6. It is a beautiful open plan cabin that sleeps two people. I fell in love with two beautiful old chairs in the cabin. If you ever want a buyer for them, please let me know Edward! The view of the mountain and the village at its foot is really amazing. We loved to sit on the veranda till late at night and enjoy the peaceful night sounds.

Fires Mountain Lodge is pet friendly, and our pets loved our vacation! The staff member that cleaned our cabin (Miss Fransina) is a lovely, friendly person. Thank you for your lovely attitude Fransina!

We did not swim, but enjoyed to sit at the pool deck and enjoy the sunsets. They are really amazing from the deck.

The garden is a skillful combination of nature and well maintained footpaths and flower beds. I never saw so many Clivia's in one spot! I really want to visit Fires Mountain Lodge during spring to see all these plants in bloom. It must be a wonderful sight!

Fires Mountain Lodge will see us again.

Our visit was very pleasant. When we arrived at the Lodge the hosts greeted us very warm and made us feel home from the start. Edward took us to the view and showed us what the view was in the area. The view is spectacular.

The room we stayed us was very clean and just enough for us. The view from the chalet was great and the stay there was good. We were greeted with bird chatter when we woke up. The Lodge is close to all the major attractions that you would like to go.

Will definitely go to the lodge again.
