Welcome to Mar Azul 5!

Please be advised that you will need a 4x4 vehicle to gain access to the property due to the sandy roads.

Large 14 sleeper house on the beach, facing the sea. Situated on Mar Azul Estate. Fully equipped and fully serviced.

The house is comprised of 7 bedrooms.

UPSTAIRS:
2x bedrooms king size beds and 2 bedrooms with double beds and 2 stand-alone bathrooms.

DOWNSTAIRS:
3 en-suite bedrooms with 2x single beds in each.
The 3 downstairs bedrooms have french doors and a lovely sea-breeze to keep you cool. 5 of the bedrooms have sea views.

There are 5 bathrooms with showers, basins, toilets, and hot and cold running water.

The house is fully equipped with 3 fridges/freezers, 4 hob electric stove and oven, double sink, all crockery and cutlery, pots, pans, duvets, and bed linen. There is also a large dining table with benches to seat 14 people on the deck. Mar Azul 5 shares an outside braai with house 6, so please just arrange with them so that you do not braai at the same time. There is also a gas braai on the deck which can be moved to either side of the deck depending on the wind.

Dudu is extremely hard working and speaks very little English. Oros, our offsite manager, is available to sort our day to day problems and assist with conveying messages to Dudu if she doesn't understand you. She will clean the house, make beds, wash dishes, etc. She will only do bed linen laundry if the weather permits. There is a washing machine, only Dudu uses the washing machine, and it's used for linen only. If you would like laundry done it's at an extra charge. You are not obliged to feed her, but any left-over food is much appreciated.

There is an outside shower next to the house with cold water to rinse off the sand and salt when coming back from the beach.

Please take note that if you are booked in on Mar Azul Estate and have a boat, jet ski, or quad bike, you can park 1 of 2 places, see below:
Park at the security gate (bottom of the hill) R300 a day
Park at the top of the hill (communal parking) - free
If you decide to park at the security gate then ensure that you have enough cash to pay for the parking on your departure date.

Important Information:
Please be advised that you will need a 4x4 vehicle to gain access to the property due to the sandy roads.

House Rules
To try and keep everyone safe and happy, please take note of some of our important House Rules:

The speed limit in the resort is 10km/hr.
Please respect the 10:30 pm noise restriction - Loud music is not much fun when you are not at the party.
No fireworks are allowed... Nearly all of our houses are made of wood and this could go horribly wrong.
No children under the age of 18 are allowed to ride a quad bike. (Please note that this is Mozambiquean law, not our rules).
No littering. We know this sounds really obvious, but you would be amazed. And, we would really appreciate it if you removed two pieces of rubbish from the beach each time you go.
No unattended open fires. Yip, we already said it, the houses are made of wood and we don't want to light up the sky.
There is a fish cleaning/gutting station near security. Please use this area so we can contain the smell and keep it clean so you don't get a fly in your drink.
For security reasons, all casual labour must be sourced via the Mar Azul Manager. No access card, no entry.
Guests must advise Security in advance of any visitors. If their name is not at Security, they will not be allowed access.
Abuse of the Security staff will absolutely not be tolerated. They are here to look after us, so please treat them with respect.

WHAT TO BRING:
refuse bags
toiletries
food and drinks
toilet paper
beach towels
washing powder
charcoal
torch
peaceful sleep (as we are on the beach there aren't a lot of mosquitoes but the odd one has been spotted)

STAFF TIP:
Dudu is the housekeeper.
Please feel free to give her a small tip if you wish.

We spent a familiar weekend at Mar Azul 5 and it was fabulous. The house is very well equipped. We found it super clean and the staff Dudu and Alfredo (i think) are very supportive.

We had such a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, well taken care and they had everything one needs to call it a home. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends. Beautiful scenery, I can't get over that experience. Will rate it a 10 out of 10.

Thank you so much.

Great place to visit, heading back in a couple of months. Bars/restaurants - 360, Ninho's, Drunken Clam, Sunset shack were our favourites and have great staff.

360 bar was really nice, as the name suggests the view was incredible. Further towards Ponta du Ora is die Malboerbar. This was probably the best bar we went to in terms of prices, food and the vibe.

We enjoyed nature, quietness, being without TV, playing board games, driving around in sandy roads to explore, watching the whales from our deck, visit the local little shops.
