360 bar was really nice, as the name suggests the view was incredible. Further towards Ponta du Ora is die Malboerbar. This was probably the best bar we went to in terms of prices, food and the vibe.

We enjoyed nature, quietness, being without TV, playing board games, driving around in sandy roads to explore, watching the whales from our deck, visit the local little shops.

More info about Ponta Malongane

Just 10 kilometres from the South African border at Kosy bay lies a secret world of untold beauty and unimagined serenity: Ponta Malongane is a pristine, idyllic African paradise and one of Africa’s most desirable dive destinations. Blue seas with crystal waters lined with golden-white beaches, sub-tropical vegetation and a sub-tropical climate all-year round make this rustic town the getaway of a lifetime. Located on the southern Mozambique coastline, the reefs teem with game and exotic fish awaiting exploration.

A host of dives cater for beginners and professionals alike, varying from 8 to 42 metres. Underwater worlds beyond imagination teem with scorpion fish, octopus, mantis shrimp, potato bass, honeycomb moral eels and even giant turtles. The serene, surreal coral world is punctuated with arches lined with gorgeous coral structures where exotic fish dazzle with colour as they glide, set against the contrast of light blue waters. The paradise-like underwater worlds also play home to hammerhead, Zambezi and dusky sharks. The more advanced dives offer a thrilling experience to dive amongst these ancient creatures.

Deep sea fishing richly rewards anglers with treasures beyond measure. Other activities include night dives (October to February) to watch loggerhead and leatherback turtles lay their eggs and snorkelling. Gliding alongside dolphins in an unreal underwater environment is an unforgettable experience. Restaurants that overlook the sea are portals to utmost culinary delight, with sumptuous fresh seafood platters on offer and cocktails with which to welcome in the cool evenings and to enjoy the romantic, stunning night sky.
