African Aquila Lodge takes its name from the majestic African Eagle.
It offers 4 Family units & 1 Couples unit, which are all fully equipped and beautifully appointed in a self-catering format, each with their own private entrance.
For your convenience each unit has its own bathroom & fully fitted kitchenette, with dining area. Laundry can be done on request.
Cleaning of units and linen change is done on day of arrival & then every 5 days during your stay.
Guests are invited to relax and enjoy a lazy afternoon on their own private patio which is fitted with braai/BBQ facilities and overlooks the pool and lush gardens.

African Aquila is at 211 Villiers Road, Walmer, Port Elizabeth which is 2 Minutes from the airport, but not in the fly zone. We are close to the major highway the M4.
Our location is perfect for the business and leisure traveller as we are centrally situated within minutes from all major attractions and facilities.
African Aquila is conveniently situated within short distance of many fabulous restaurants, shopping centres, beautiful golf courses and entertainment complexes.
Both the Addo Elephant National Park and Shamwari Private Game Reserve are 45 minute drives from African Aquila Lodge. Some other game parks and nature reserves that are within close proximity are the Seaview Game Park, Kragga Kamma Game Park, the Van Stadens Wild Flower Reserve and Cape Recife Nature Reserve.
Seaview Game Park is home to a pride of resident lions who often have cubs, entrance to engage with these cubs on a personal level is available. Kragga Kamma Game Park boasts the personal touch, by facilitating one-on-one interaction with their leopards. The Cape Recife Nature Reserve is a must for bird lovers.

Dolphin and Whale watching is a common occurrence in Port Elizabeth. Every morning, hundreds of Bottlenose Dolphins leap through the water as they make their way across the bay. At dusk, they return. During the time between July and December, Humpback and Southern Right Whales can frequently be spotted.
Maitland's River Mouth, only 30 kilometers from the city centre, is a simply exquisite beach. The mammoth, pristine, white sand dunes and the meeting of the river with the ocean is a sight that is irresistible.
The Donkin Heritage Trail, is a surreal experience walking in the footsteps of the 1820 Settlers as you encounter almost 50 historical sites. Although only 5 kilometers long, this trail is full of fascinating facts and insights into the Port Elizabeth of yesteryear.
