In Room Facilities:This gorgeous, oceanfront vacation home comfortably accommodates 6 guests. It has an open concept indoor/outdoor living and entertainment area, 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The Master Bedroom Suite has a queen-size bed, en-suite Master Bathroom, ceiling fan, aircon and built-in cupboards. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the third bedroom has 2 single beds. The second and third bedrooms both have ceiling fans, built in cupboards and share the full second bathroom.
Its fully fitted kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer and double volume fridge. It offers a range of glassware, crockery, cutlery, cookware, cooking utensils and appliances. Catering for children, it also offers plastic plates and cups.
The air-conditioned lounge / living area holds comfortable seating and a 55-inch flat screen TV offers DSTV Premium for your viewing pleasure.
vayKZN Umdloti delightfully boasts a large, semi-covered balcony which offers a full view of the breakers, and opportunities for soaking in the sunrise and spotting whales and dolphins whilst sipping on your morning brew or afternoon sundowner.

Area Information:Situated in the heart of KwaZulu Natal’s Dolphin Coast, this seaside vacation home is a hop skip and jump away from a swimming beach, and a few minutes’ walk from a tidal pool and some rather impressive shops, bars and restaurants.
This charming seaside town’s located between Umhlanga and Ballito, at the mouth of the Mdloti River. Umdloti Beach is a coastal conservancy, with surrounding fields of sugar cane and indigenous forests. The area is a prime location for various wildlife sightings, including whales, dolphins and innumerable bird species.
With Umhlanga’s vibey attractions nearby, Gateway Shopping Centre an 8-minute drive away, 10kms to King Shaka International Airport, and Ballito 15kms further up the North coast, this oceanfront gem is conveniently situated for those in need of entertainment or a spot of retail therapy.
Getting around:
Guests can use the M4 and N2 Freeways to access Umdloti / travel to Umhlanga and Durban.
The airport is only 8 minutes away which is super convenient for car hire/travel.
There isn’t really a need for a car once you’re in the area as most shops and restaurants are within walking distance.
There is a swimming beach across the road from the apartment, and an AWESOME child-friendly tidal pool is a short 5-minute walk away.
A key point to note is that Umdloti’s tidal pool is naturally protected by rocks so it’s not affected by strong currents and large waves. This makes it ideal for little kids, elderly people and novice swimmers to enjoy the ocean, and some fun in the sun.
The area allows for bicycles and is love for taking walks on the beach and across the promenade.
Uber is available to/from Umdloti Beach.
Dedicated, undercover parking is available on-site. The parking bay can fit 2x standard size vehicles parked in front of one another, or a car and trailer.
Bath towels are provided but not beach towels so guests should please bring their own.
Guests have unlimited access to the complimentary, fibre WIFI.
Cleaning services can be arranged in advance for the duration of your stay, and over weekends and South African Public Holidays.
While the apartment is fully equipped with laundry facilities, guests can arrange laundry services directly with an outsourced cleaning company.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a range of glassware, crockery, cutlery, cookware and cooking utensils. It also caters for children, offering plastic tableware for the littlies.

The key pickup was virtually effortless. The apartment is well positioned halfway between the Sandbar, main swimming beach and the Bush pub and garage. The spar is a bit too far to walk for me if you have a lot of packages. The new mall is a short drive away boasting a Super spar, Woollies food a Dischem and also an Irish pub (very nice). The apartment is one of only eight.One on each floor and the lift works well. Zero waiting time. The apartment is bright and modern with all the necessary amenities. The aircon was a life saver in the heat. Awesome views with a built in braai. Nice tv with full Dstv and Netflix. The only negatives and this is really not a deal breaker was, there is water seepage and we were greeted by a pool of water in front of the lift at the entrance on the first day. Also some dog owners did not pick up after their dogs znd I stepped in it . However the supervisor there, was quick to clean up and also the water every day. Also offering to have my car washed. Parking is VERY tight. We ended up extending our stay and will return soon. Our Yorkie also liked the view and monkeys and it was great to take her with us on vacation. Thanks to Alandra for her friendly assistance.
It was a good holiday. Got what we were promised. The place we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and I’ll get it again!
The best part was that I did not have to interact with people. My keys were at a designated location which was awesome
A real pleasure to stay here. We spent more time indoors than we intended because of the terrible weather. Nevertheless our stay was most enjoyable because of the cleanliness and condition of the premises.
My family and I were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the apartment is on the inside. We had everything at out convenience. My little Yorkie felt right at home. I couldn't thank you enough Alandra for the awesome welcome and the way all my queries were dealt with so promptly and without any issues. We so needed a break and as short as it was, it was relaxing and restful. I would definitely recommend staying here. We had a blast and will do it again as soon as we get a chance. Thank you for an awesome week.

Umdloti has very conveniently located magnificent stretches of pristine golden beaches with shark nets, clear water, large safe tidal pool, delightful paved walks beside the sea and outstanding restaurants like Mundo Vida with sea views. Simple open air changing rooms like those seen on European beaches would be an improvement.
