Chewore Lodge and Camp-site is situated in a beautiful woodland (fhaderbia albida) setting at the confluence of the Chewore and Zambezi Rivers. This is a prime fishing and wildlife location within the Chewore Safari Area, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with Mana Pools National Park and the neighbouring Sapi Safari Area.
The lodge comprises five double suites capable of sleeping 10 guests but additional guests can be accommodated by prior arrangement.
All chalets have amazing views of the river and are designed to impart the feeling of sleeping outdoors, whilst being secure in a wild environment. There is a central lounge area comprising of a bar, dining room and pool.
Animals roam freely through the lodge area, treating it as their home. Frequent visitors include elephant, eland, water buck, mongoose, various members of the cat family from the small and timid civet to the occasional lion.
Photographic opportunities are abound in and around the lodge areas, from the majestic forest of acacia albidas themselves to an amazing variety of birds and animals. Both the wild dogs and lion hunt in the forest with kills recorded each year within the several hundred meters of the lodge.

Fishing Extravaganza!
We spent 7 nights in the hands of our hosts Di and Terry and the team at the lodge. We could not have wished for more. The atmosphere was so relaxing, the food exquisite, the fishing amazing, and the accommodation and setting simple but elegant. Our party of 8 had a trip of a lifetime. If you want to spoil yourself with an "out of Africa" experience, this is the place!
