Mhangela consists of 3 luxuriously furnished en-suite bedrooms leading down the passage overlooking the bush garden into an open air lounge and library.
The well stocked library contains renowned nature books, interesting travel information, relaxing novels and plenty entertainment reading.
The open air fire place, the stylishly furnished and comfortable lounge invites nature into the space. Here space offers a viewpoint towards the very active water whole. A small two seated deck offers a perfect elevation above nature and reading space or morning coffee.
Crossing the bridge one is guided to the open plan kitchen and dining area that then transfers you onto the tongue (a long terrace sliding into the bush, a comfortable seating area for day resting and evening sun downers). The terrace offers a closer viewpoint onto the water whole and this is a magical spot and offers many close encounters with elephants and other game.
In Room Facilities:
The rooms are equipt with hair dryer, laundry bag, shoe safety bags, plugs (please specify your request), cupboard, fire extinguishers, fan and night torch. Beds are made up with the finest 300 TC 100% cotton bed linen, and the duvet inner is the world wide patented Climabalance down duvet. Pillows are a 3 Chamber down filled cotton casing pillows (micro fibre also available on request). The Beds are protected with luxury soft mosquito nets and basic mosquito treatment is provided. The bath rooms are fitted with luxury cotton towels and organic hand crafted soaps and amenities neatly placed on the vanity.
Balule Game Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger Park, an open conserved area of approximately 7,000,000 acres or 23,000 km²,along the Olifants River. The reserve is only an hour's drive from two of the main gates to the Kruger National Park. It is in the mixed woodland eco-zone, one of several eco-zones in the Lowveld, and the one with the greatest variety of fauna and flora. The landscape is rolling with seasonal rivers draining the area. The region is of granitic origin, with quartz and Dolerite intrusions and outcrops.
Mhangela offers an extensive library consisting of informative renowned nature books, knowledge & entertainment reading. A plunge pool allows for cooling down and game viewing in its best form. An open kitchen for the food enthusiast to try some traditional recipes. Walks through the garden and identifying the at least 29 different indigenous and trees are sure to intrigue and Big 5 game viewing from almost every space in the building. Mhangela offers guided game drives or bush walks with accredited FGASA field guides in the morning and evening. You can book all meals and game drives individually or at an inclusive all rate which as well includes soft drinks and house wine in the evening.
Outside of the reserve, the main attraction would be the Kruger National Park for day self drive attractions.
Limpopo is rich in African culture and there are lots to explore, from ancient salt harvesting, and predator rehabilitation center visits to guided cultural village visits.
