Our stay at Roam far exceeded our expectations and we would without hesitation recommend staying at the reserve for people looking for a slightly different experience to the traditional luxury game reserve in South Africa. Roam is small and personal with everything tailored to the guests comfort even if the rooms are more on the rustic rather than luxurious side of things. The food was outstanding and plentiful - absolutely memorable and delicious. The game drives were wonderful and informative with the highlight being able to walk to view the mother cheetah with her three cubs. Bronwyn, Stuart and Abigail were incredible hosts finding the right balance of professional yet friendly, warm and accommodating. We would absolutely visit again.

Lovely little gem of a town. Lots of things to do, eateries and little shops and galleries to visit. At the base of the most spectacular mountain pass in all Africa.

The charm and character of this town impressed me. The Karoo gardens are beautiful and there are interesting local products for sale. I recommend the book shop in Marlene's home.

Peace and quiet; feeling of safety; good clean air. We attended a wonderful photographic course with Louis Botha.
