Welcome to Morokologa Nature Reserve,
A stunning, pristine Nature Reserve of 550 hectares wedged into, but fenced out of, the much bigger Selati Nature Reserve around it. We aim to offer our guests a unique and truly immersive nature experience without the usual risks, restrictions, and often exorbitant cost implications that usually underlies most Big Five related safari outings in a similar environment.
We can accommodate up to 83 guests in Russet Willow Ridge Hut Camp, which is currently the only public camp on the beautiful Reserve. Sip a sundowner on the view tower and relax while the kids have fun in the playroom.
We offer a variety of fun, nature related activities, such as self guided walks, guided bush walks, mountain biking, guided game drives, interactive bushcraft sessions, sleep-outs under the stars, and more....
Regular plains game roaming the Reserve includes Giraffe, Burchell's Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Kudu, Impala, Nyala, Warthog, Bushbuck, Steenbok, Duiker, Sharpe's Grysbok, Chacma Baboon and Vervet Monkey, while the more elusive and mostly nocturnal inhabitants include Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Serval, Caracal, Aardwolf, Bush Pig, Antbear, African Civet, Porcupine, Honey Badger, Genet, and African Wild Cat, while even Brown Hyena and African Wild Dog have been spotted on the Reserve occasionally.
Gravitating towards renewable energy, we have gone off-grid on the Reserve many years ago. All Hot water, Cooking and Lighting requirements are currently provided for by a combination of gas operated appliances, solar power, and smaller battery operated light units in the rooms for your convenience.

The baobab tree and the history of the area. The wildlife here is amazing too.
