N3 onto N2. N2 exit 177 onto R102 OR N2 exit 175 via Nandi Drive onto R102. From City & Beaches: R102 via Umgeni Rd OR M4 and M12 via Kenneth Kaunda Drive. North Lodge is in Grove Crescent off Orange Grove, which is off the R102. Please google Parkhill, Durban North and view directions to 21 Grove Crescent.
FOOD: All major supermarkets and fast food chains as well as restaurants plus Pick n Pay Hypermarket are within 2km. North Lodge is walking distance to a Fresh Stop Food Court with Nandos, Steers, Milky Lane and Fishaways, as well as an excellent Indian Food outlet.There are a great number of schools and several private tertiary institutions. Sports clubs and golf courses are plentiful all in a 5km radius.
Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve and Virginia Beach and airport are 2.5km. Umgeni Bird Park is 3km, North Beach and CBD and Ushaka Marine are within 9km.

CHARACTER & PROPERTIES:
A desirable, safe and green area with a clean atmosphere - we border on a commercial district, but there is no heavy industry nearby. The Parkhill area is fully residential from the M12 up to the R102 (Chris Hani Rd/North Coast Rd), a narrow strip of commercial properties. There are no informal settlements.
Prices range from R800,000 up to R8,000,000 and even much higher, depending on the property. The houses are a variety of solid old Durban North character homes with classic high ceilings and beautiful Oregon floors, and the more modern houses that have been built by those renovating the old style homes. Kensington Square in central Durban North is a hive of activity with major restaurants,Woolworths and a Super Spar, all offering safe secure parking. All the major banks are within this shopping area, and within walking distance to all the schools.

Choose from 2 SELF CATERING SUITES. These are fully and properly equipped for Self catering. Air-conditioned, TV with optional DSTV. En-suite bathrooms, Fresh Linen, comfortable Queen beds that split into singles on request. Pots, crockery and cutlery. Fridge, stove, Microwave, stove, plenty hot water, Wi-Fi, Reading material. Desks & Lamp on request, 2-pin plugs built in. Our type of Self catering living is like living at home – we provide all bedding & kitchenware and you only bring consumables (and towels please!) On the first night only, we will provide basic essentials – thereafter, please provide your own toiletries.

The BALCONY SUITE sleeps 2 and can be set up with either a Queen Bed or twin singles. We can add a 3rd bed if needed.
The GARDEN SUITE usually sleeps 2, but is big enough for 2 more single beds to be added.
BUDGET ROOMS are private and en-suite, but do not offer self catering, Tv or aircon. These are suited for short, active stays where no meal plan at all is required (since Budgets have no self catering facilities, you will eat out)/ Wi-fi is standard. We have only 2 of these room types and they are not available in peak seasons.
For bigger groups, the 2 self catering cottages are an excellent option. Fully equipped for self catering with full kitchen, lounge and all bedrooms en-suite. TV, aircon, free wi-fi. The 2 bedroom is best for 4-6 guests and the 3 bedroom best for 6-8. Special plans can be made to add extra beds and mattresses for bigger groups if you don’t mind the squeeze.
COTTAGE B sleeps 4-6 guests. Full-sized fridge, stove, microwave etc. Own Braai area.

For travellers who do not mind sharing, the cheapest option is in our lockable dorm rooms. Favourite choice of Contractors and Budget travellers, these are part of a large free-standing 3 bedroomed house that can sleep 11 or more guests. Please feel free to inquire about rates for the whole house. We are choosy about our guests, and we gladly separate male and female guests, so have no fear. Huge lounge & kitchen with 2 big frost-free fridges plus dining room. Large level parking area and big braai area. If using public transport, you will be pleased to know that we are on a direct bus & taxi route to the city and beaches.
