The suburb of Tamboerskloof – located on the lower reaches of the east slope of Signal Hill - is resplendent with Victorian-styled homes, their restoration lending the area an old-world charm. Table Mountain and Devil's Peak are the views from many a window; and Lion's Head nearby offers an easy morning hike. The villa is a short walk from the vibey Kloof Street (technically located in the Gardens area) which reaches down to Long Street in the city, forming an extended and popular linear landmark abuzz with a variety of restaurants, coffee spots, clubs, shops (vintage, boutiques, books etc) art galleries and more. Tamboerskloof is 5 mins from the city bowl (by car or the prepaid MyCiti bus service), 10 mins from the V&A Waterfront shopping precinct as well as world-renowned Clifton and Camps Bay beaches – and then there's Table Mountain, literally just up the road.

Plus housekeeping once a week included in the rental with additional days optional at an extra charge (excluding public holidays) at no extra charge. Almost everything Cape Town has to offer is within easy reach. Be it heading into the city centre or the V&A Waterfront shopping precinct, or over the Nek (where the road also diverts to the Table Mountain cable car station) to a short and winding – but scenic – Roundhouse Road down the western side of Lion's Head to Clifton with its famous 4 beaches, each marked off by huge granite boulders. Camps Bay beach and promenade (known as the entertainment strip) is next door and offers a variety of restaurants, bars, coffee spots and retail boutiques. Further afield – and a perfect day trip – are the winelands (there's Constantia and those of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl) or a Cape Peninsula drive that takes in Chapman's Peak, Noordhoek, Scarborough, Cape Point, Boulders (for the penguins) and then Kalk Bay, Muizenberg (surfing and sea dips in the tidal pools) and back via the green beauty of the Kirstenbosch Gardens.
