The PERFECT family holiday home! There are spectacular panoramic Ocean and lagoon views and ample space for several or extended families to enjoy a wonderful holiday together. This house is excellently equipped and caters for young and old.
The front veranda is shaded and has a large table for al-fresco meals whilst overlooking the Ocean. The pool is fenced and gated and there is an abundance of pool and garden furniture to enjoy the African sun, OR… enjoy the peace of a garden deck under a large tree to read a book or have your sun-downers.
Downstairs you will find a spacious entertainment area containing: a braai area shielded from the wind and undercover for Dad to braai, whilst kids enjoy the pool and the rest of the family play pool or watch a movie. DSTV: active card & decoder provided. 8 Glen drive is located one road back from the beach, however, you can park at the beach or use a set of access stairs nearby for a short walk to the beach. The house is serviced 2x per week, (Mondays and Thursdays) not negotiable, at an additional charge. Should you require additional cleaning services you may rent a maid from the local cleaning agents, additional cleans must be booked well in advanced to avoid disappointment. The house is surrounded by security beams which is supported by a local armed response company.
The house sleeps 12 (max 10 adults) in 5 bedrooms and 5 bathroom. There are 2 pull out beds for 2 small children and more small children can be accommodated on mattresses but ONLY with owner’s approval and written consent on securing a booking.
UPSTAIRS: Large covered veranda and open plan lounge, dining room, kitchen and scullery. Kitchen provides: Oven and hob, prep bowl, large fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. 2 bar fridges. The house provides a washing machine and tumble dryer. The main bedroom (1st bedroom), with double bed and full en-suite bathroom and walk in closet, is also located upstairs and has its own little veranda to enjoy your morning coffee or read the newspaper. Parking: There are no garages available, but the property supplies 2 under cover parking bays and open off road parking for more cars.
DOWNSTAIRS: Large open plan TV lounge, under cover braai area, pool room and veranda. Here you will also find 4 Bedrooms each with its own bathroom: 2nd bedroom: double bed & 2 pull out beds (children under 10 only), en-suite with shower, toilet and basin, opening onto the pool and lawn. 3rd bedroom: double bed, en-suite with shower, toilet and basin. 4th bedroom with double bed, en-suite with bath, basin toilet and shower. 5th bedroom with 2 single beds, en-suite with shower, basin and toilet.
All bedrooms have large built-in cupboards and ceiling fans, some of the rooms have mosquito nets. All linen, towels and beach towels are provided.
FLAT: this cozy flat with its own veranda and slight sea views has an open plan lounge, dining area and kitchenette. The flat has a double bed and bathroom with toilet, shower and basin. The flat does not have access to TV at all. (Please see flat specks under 4 Sleeper section should you wish to rent it only on its own, note rate differs)
MINIMUM STAY: Out of season: 3 nights. Mid-season: 3 – 5 nights. In-season: 4 to 7 nights. Peak season: 14 nights should you include Christmas and New Year OR 10 nights leaving on/by/before the 27/12 OR 10 nights starting/arriving from the 28th onwards as available. Lesser stays before and after this period (minimum of 5 – 7 nights) will be considered once the owners have their primary booking confirmed.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES: Admin fee once off. Breakage deposit of 10% of the value of the accommodation amount, with a minimum of R2000, refundable if there are no breakages. Departure cleaning fee. Compulsory twice a week maid service fee for house.
