Why not come and relax on the edge of the Palmiet Nature Reserve in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa and awaken to the call of the Purple Crested Loerie and a host of other birds, in a quiet suburb with no passing traffic. We're a mere 15 minutes drive from Durban's Golden Mile & beaches, with easy access to the N3, N2 and M13 highways and all destinations around Durban.We have four rooms of which two are en-suite. The other two have designated bathrooms. The rooms have outside entrances with their own sundecks where you can sit and enjoy nature at its best. Secure under-cover parking on the premises.
The name "Loeriebos" explains everything. Situated in the heart of Westville, close to shopping centres (such as the Pavillion), the Westville Hotel, restaurants and yet surrounded by forest. The peaceful sound of the river flowing below and the breath-taking view from the decks where you can enjoy your sundowner and / or breakfast will make your stay at Loeriebos an unforgettable one.

My stay at Loeriebos was fantastic. The host couple were wonderfully helpful and made my stay just like I was in my own home. Breakfast each day was a little different but always of the best quality and well presented. The view from my room was beautiful and the room was spotlessly clean and well maintained for the whole time I stayed with them. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, restful place to stay then this is for you. Highly recommended.
The owners at Loeriebos immediately made me feel at home. It has the most beautiful setting in the greenest "forest" with the sounds of birds chirping and water flowing.
I even got a fresh bacon & egg breakfast sandwich to take-away since I had to catch an early flight.
Highly recommended.
