More info about Equestria

While many people outside of Pretoria may not have heard of Equestria, this eastern suburb is indeed one of the capital city’s most picturesque and laidback areas. In recent times, it has attracted first-time home owners and Pretoria’s younger jet set crowd largely thanks to its unaffected surroundings and its relatively serene and peaceful ambience. As its name is likely linked to horses, Equestria is located in a breathtaking valley with modern homes, tree-lined streets, and panoramic scenery … and best of all it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city! While Equestria is removed from the congestion of inner Pretoria, it does have easy and quick access to all of the city’s greatest and brightest attractions; travellers can hop on to the nearby N4 highway which takes them straight into town or they can take the N1 route that goes via Centurion. In essence, Equestria combines the best of both worlds perfectly – convenience and privacy. The Bronberg Mountains are also in close proximity of Equestria and offers visitors the chance to fully enjoy Mother Nature whilst ensconced in beautiful scintillating scenery. The Menlyn Mall is a very popular destination for many residents of Equestria. This super mall has a plethora of shops and restaurants including all the top chain stores and fast food outlets, not to mention a wide assortment of recreational amenities to add to the fun and excitement. Another attraction that isn’t too far from Equestria is the Sammy Marks Museum, which is a grandiose and lavish Victorian-inspired mansion depicting the life and times of colonial industrialist and financier Sammy Marks.
