The city has large open spaces like the National Botanic Garden with more than 900 species of indigenous trees and shrubs. At the African Unity Park, flower vendors have a breathtaking array of flowers on display at very reasonable prices. Harare is surrounded by game parks, preserves, and recreational lakes, and offer the visitor incredible opportunity to explore the natural beautiful environment. The extraordinary Mukuvisi Woodlands, on the edge of the Mukuvisi stream, feature a variety of bird and wild animal species such as giraffe, zebra, reed buck, wildebeest and impala amongst others. Manyame Recreational Park offers the keen fishermen outstanding fishing opportunity in the Manyame Dam. Picnic sites and camping facilities are available at this splendid park. Harare is a magnificent city surrounded by incredible natural splendour, and is a truly wonderful location for a vacation.
