Transport

Musgrave is 4kms from Durban’s King Shaka International Airport. Various car rental agencies operate in Berea and King Shaka Airport or book your vehicle online. Traditional taxi companies are available throughout Durban but if you have the Uber app, just order a ride using your mobile phone. The city operates a bus service throughout Durban and outlying suburbs.

Did you know?

Durban’s warm sea waters are fantastic for swimming. To emphasise how warm the waters are, during the sardine run northwards along the KwaZulu-Natal coast, when the shoals swim near Durban, they move further out into the colder ocean, away from the city, before venturing back along the shoreline further up the coast.

The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board deploys shark nets across all of Durban’s beaches to ensure safe swimming. The nets are over 200m long hanging 6m into the water and have proved to be a shark deterrent, however, many sharks become entangled in the nets.
