The Williams Family welcomes you to Bronze Grove Farm and invites you to share and enjoy all that it has to offer. We took ownership of this farm in 2003. It had been badly neglected for various reasons and left dormant for many years. It has therefore only recently, after much hard work, become a working farm once again, concentrating on olives and Proteas. Bronze Grove is situated at the foothills of the Langeberg Mountain Range and incorporates part of the famous Tradouw Pass. We have, purely for our viewing pleasure, introduced zebra, gemsbok, springbok and various other antelope. Nguni cattle, geese and chickens roam freely around the fynbos covered veld. Not to mention our pair of resident ostriches. Our staff are friendly and welcoming, offering you the opportunity to wander around Bronze Grove enjoying the natural earthy pleasures of farm life. Besides pure relaxation and the unwinding of body and soul there are a number of activities to enjoy on Bronze Grove and in Barrydale.
Swimming in the dam and river is a necessity during the long, hot summer months. Bass fishing, on a catch and release basis, is a relaxing activity from the two jetties located on the river and dam. There is a bird hide at the dam for the avid bird watcher. Many various bird species have been spotted including a fish eagle. While walking along the easy cut-away paths or hiking through the dense fynbos on the mountain slopes (not for the faint hearted or unfit) you will possibly detect just enough evidence to be aware of the natural predators that lurk high up in the mountains. Bronze Grove is approximately 3Kms from the delightful village of Barrydale. Barrydale, in the Klein Karoo, is situated on the popular tourist route, Route 62, which is said to maybe be one of the longest wine routes in the world. In the village there are a number of quaint restaurants where these wines can be enjoyed while chatting to the locals and soaking up their heartfelt hospitality.

Barrydale Reviews
A great place with a nice old school feel you don't get much anymore, Diesel and Cream and Blue Cow are 2 must stops for all! 👌
Beautiful town with an eclectic, diverse population.
Beautiful little town, close enough to Cape Town for a weekend getaway. Lots of quaint little shops and restaurants to keep you busy, but also allows you to just relax and recharge.
Very popular stop on Route 62, you won’t be disappointed!
Diesel and Creme always worth a visit and the local brewery is also a great spot. The Tradouws pass itself is amazingly beautiful and worth a visit for a picnic and a swim.
Diesel and Crème Vintage Restaurant, the vibe and the droëwors!
Food
We enjoyed exploring the beautiful town admiring the houses and amazing walls.
Then had a drink at the Karoo Art Hotel which is absolutely amazing with very friendly staff who are so proud of the hotel. We will be back for another visit.
