Set in the greater Dinokeng Region (Place of Rivers) of Gauteng Province of South Africa, is the acclaimed headquarters of the Hayward’s Grand Safari Company approximately 24 km north east of Pretoria.

The Hayward’s Safari House is the private bush villa of Mr Peter J W Hayward, founder of Hayward’s Grand Safari Company and represents a splendorous all inclusive safari experience for those using the villa exclusively. Butlers, waiters in white flowing robes, our maestro chef, top guides and spa treatments all come together to make for the most relaxing weekend possible.

Hayward’s Safari House has three bedrooms (main bedroom has a Jacuzzi bath), two bathrooms with showers, an East African reading room, a Persian lounge, an upstairs 6 seater classic dining room and a fully equipped kitchen, the bush villa is ideal for private parties of 6 guests (3 couples) with space for up to 4 children under 12. Rooms can be set up in twin or double bed configuration. Towels and luxury amenities are provided. Rooms an outdoor areas are serviced daily.

The bush villa overlooks the spring fed oasis. A mobile safari porta pool is supplied in summer months and hammocks hang between trees. Picnic tables are shifted under shade for long lazy lunches.

Our mobile Tented Spa can be set up (optional extra) in the gardens or around the oasis for relaxing full body massages and treatments by highly skilled anti stress therapists.

The kitchen is fully equipped and used by our chef team to prepare and present a delectable selection of menus for you should you require the fully catered option. There is also an outside lapa (barbecue/braai) dining area under thatch.

A 4 sleeper authentic safari bell tent can be erected in the fenced garden should children (ages 8 – 12) wish to camp out each evening under supervision.

THERE IS NO TV (ON PURPOSE) BUT NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC AND DISCOVERY CHANNEL IS RIGHT OUTSIDE – IN 3D!

Dinokeng Game Reserve Reviews

Mongane lodge's game drive was great. Good sightings. We liked the Safari mall where we could purchase some needed stuff. We found the map of the reserve a bit confusing, but overall we really enjoyed the self drive route. There are also a lot of lodges that offers game drives. Some are also open to people who are doing the self drive route for refreshments.

To be fair we didn't see the entire game reserve as we were restricted.
We saw a fair amount of game.
