Montpellier provides a romantic setting for a country getaway, with a charming hillside chapel, picturesque wedding venue and old Cape style guest house. Founded in 1714, this historical Boland Farm is embraced by "the mountains of fear" (Montténére), which in 1969 flexed their muscles with an awesome earthquake.

Our accommodation is located near the vineyards with large oak trees providing ample shade in the gardens. Guests can book horses for riding sessions, or they can walk, run or cycle through the vineyards and into the village of Tulbagh. With Paarl, Wellington, Riebeeck-Kasteel and Riebeeck-West and Stellenbosch all in close proximity to the farm, there is always something to do.Property Facilities:
Guests can enjoy stunning views of the mountains surrounding Tulbagh valley and the Montpellier vineyards. Horses graze peacefully near the manor house and there is a spacious swimming pool where guests can cool off. A covered braai area (barbeque) and pizza oven are hidden at the bottom of the huge garden.
Montpellier was established in 1714 and has had a long history as a working farm in the farming community of Tulbagh and the Cape.
