Welcome to Whipstock Guest Farm,
Come and visit Whipstock Guest Farm and turn back time to a more relaxed pace of life away from the hustle and bustle. Located in the rain shadow of the Sonderend Mountains, on the banks of the Koningsriver, we have kept a small part of rural South Africa remarkably untouched by progress.
We offer three self-catering cottages and three bed and breakfast, each with an atmosphere and charm of its own. The cottages are equipped with fridges and coffee and tea-making facilities and fireplaces. The accommodation reflects its natural surroundings of beautiful countryside living. The commons room offers a small bar area (we are not licensed so bring your own) with large fire place, dining room and a television with full DSTV. A variety of board games are also available and a library is available for readers to browse.
Whipstock Guest Farm is a prefect getaway for adults with children, as the farm offers a myriad of activities to keep everyone busy. There is a wonderful farm dam with clean mountain water for swimming and canoeing – perfect for those hotter summer days.

Excellent stay and great venue. Absolute peace and quiet.
We had an amazing cozy few days on the farm last week, very relaxed and laid back. Sindy and Kim were excellent hosts and very helpful. We will definitely return.
Whipstock provides the prefect setting for a rejuvenating breakaway. The hosts provide a personal touch and the farm all the ambiance you require.

Awesome Farm stay, stunning views, comfortable accommodation and really friendly and helpful hosts.
If you want to unwind; this is the place to do it!
Attentive, helpful hosts. Beautiful location and a good place to unwind!
The venue is superb with it’s cozy cottage-and-mountain-view experience!
The farm itself offers ample safe cycling for kids - lovely walking and cycling environment, with various circular trails and jeep track routes….and of course the McGregor pass offers challenging riding for the adult MTB’s.
Lovely hosts. Warm and welcoming. Our cottage was spotless.
Great farm location in the mountains! Beautiful views to relax with. 5stars.
We visited in the middle of a very cold winter, but were delighted with the cottage, the cosy fireplace and comfy beds. The hosts were very accomodating and knowledgeable. There are some fun things to do with a young child on the farm, but one has to keep an eye on them - dams and ponds close by. Had a truly peaceful and relaxing time.

Loved the quite and nature.
Peace and nature.
Lovely little quaint village.
Very relaxing.
Peaceful & quiet town set among beautiful scenery! Best for weekend visits! Tabaldi's restaurant at Temenos Retreat is a must for delicious food and fine dining.
McGregor is very very quiet midweek, would like to visit again at the weekend to see if it comes alive.
Enough good food and wine to enjoy without being commercialized and touristy. Enjoyed the countryside and being “away from it all”.
